Our Virtual Mentorship Program runs during the school year and during the summer. The program contains all the same content as our Free Course. Each session of the VMP requires five submissions to be completed with suggested deadlines but is self-paced. Reference our "Events and Submission Calendar" in the Moodle course platform to see which virtual events are offered.

  • School Year VMP: runs for 12 weeks

    • Two sessions offered: October - January; January - May

    • Suggested submission deadlines: every other week

    • Events include a launch webinar and "Work With Us" sessions to support mentee completion.

  • Summer VMP: runs for 5 weeks as a highly condensed program

    • Two sessions offered: May - June; June - July

    • Suggested submission deadlines: every week

    • Events include launch and optional virtual webinars.

  • The Five Submissions: Mentors will review and offer feedback on the following submissions...

    • Submission #1: Mastery Plan

    • Submission #2: Self-Pacing Plan

    • Submission #3: Blended Instruction Plan

    • Submission #4: Learning Design Plan*

    • Submission #5: Culminating Submission* (CS) - this includes: 1) at least three original, teacher-created instructional videos, 2) a mastery check for each lesson, 3) a must-do element for the submission.

*Note: if your mentee is an Administrator or Instructional Coach, Submissions #4 (Learning Design Plan) and #5 (Culminating Submission) reflect Admin/IC-specific prompts and questions unique to their role.

If you are reviewing work for an Administrator or Instructional coach, mentors can anticipate sharing feedback on implementing their Modern Classroom, based on our walkthrough tool.
