Educators can earn micro-learning badges after completing each submission in the course. You are also able to secure additional credentials after completing the program.
✅ How We Define Complete
Educators who master all five submissions have completed the Mentorship Program! This means that your Expert Mentor has reviewed and approved all five of your submissions with a grade of "1" in the Moodle course platform.
Even after the program end date, you can refine and resubmit your submission to receive your certificate of completion! So keep up the great work!
We recognize learning a new model of teaching takes significant time and effort, in addition to the ~30 hours estimated to complete the course. We celebrate your dedication!
⭐️ Completion Benefits
Educators who complete all five submissions can:
Receive a Modern Classrooms Project issued Certificate of Completion. You will automatically receive your certificate of completion once all five submissions are complete and there is no action you need to take. You can also download your certificate of completion here through the course platform.
Request 3 non-degree graduate credits from Colorado State University (CSU) Pueblo. For a fee of $80 per credit, you can request 3 non-degree credits. In many districts, this transcript can count towards pay increases. You will automatically see a form in the course platform after completion to request this.
Request Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from George Mason University. For a fee of $50, you can request CEUs to renew your teaching license. You can receive 4.5 CEUs for completing our Mentorship Program. This represents 45 hours of professional development. You will also see a form in the course platform after completion to request this.
Receive Digital Promise Micro-Credential: Planning for Modern Classroom Instruction (free). This competency-based digital certification verifies that an educator can successfully plan a blended, self-paced, mastery-based unit of study. In many states, micro-credentials can also be used for teacher licensure and/or license renewal.
New York State Educators: Request 45 Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) hours. Educators based in New York State will automatically see a form to request proof of completion for 45 NYS CTLE credits. Once you submit your request, you will receive a PDF to submit to the state within 10 business days.
💡 Review these options on our credential website page & check your Moodle course platform to submit a request.

I have a question about receiving CSU Pueblo credits. How does this work?
I have a question about receiving CSU Pueblo credits. How does this work?
Step #1: Once you complete the program, you will automatically see a form pinned at the top of the course platform to request CSU Pueblo credits for a fee of $80/credit. Once submitted, you will receive an automated email with a link to register for the appropriate CSU Pueblo course.
Step #2: Register directly with CSU Pueblo for the appropriate course. If you do not register with CSU Pueblo or register for the incorrect course, the MCP team will not be able to take the next step.
The MCP Team then inputs your grade in the CSU Pueblo platform. You will receive a confirmation email when your grade is recorded and outlines next steps. The CSU Pueblo course is a pass/fail course for a semester term, meaning your completion is reflected as a "Satisfactory" passing grade. The MCP team processes grades twice per month.
Step #3: When your grade is posted and you are ready to order transcripts, you have 2 options:
To view and print unofficial transcripts, login to your PAWS account using the credentials you received from CSU Pueblo.
To order an official electronic transcript, please see the Official Transcript Ordering Options outlined on CSU Pueblo's website for fees and timelines. Educators who wish to obtain an official transcript will be asked to create a Parchment account. If you already have a Parchment account, you can sign in using your existing login.
The process on the CSU Pueblo side can take about 4-6 weeks. This process and timeline is outside of MCP's control, so we appreciate your patience.

After logging into the Moodle course platform, click into the appropriate Mentorship Program course. If you have fully completed the Mentorship Program, you should see appropriate forms pinned at the top of your course. It might take one business day for the course platform to reflect your complete status.
If you check back after a business day and the forms are not available, make sure that all your course module tiles reflect a green check mark (indicating you've completed and mastered all modules).
If all five modules reflect a green checkmark but you do not see the forms, reach out to us at mentorship@modernclassrooms.org!
