(This guide does not cover auctions, please refer here for the guide on auctions)

This is a simple step by step guide on how to purchase or bid on an NFT on the Mogul Marketplace. A few notes to begin with:

  • For the first Mogul NFT drop (Reboot Camp), sales will be held in Ethereum as a proof of concept. After that we will be switching over to ERC-20 (Ethereum Network) STARS.

  • You will need a MetaMask wallet - here's a guide if you don't have one - enough Ethereum tokens to cover your purchase and also the gas fee which is essentially a transaction fee that everyone has to pay for any transaction on the blockchain. You can see current Gas prices here.

Now we've got that out the way, here's the guide!

Step 1

  • You need to be logged into your Mogul account before making a purchase, so head to my.mogulproductions.com/platform/register if you need to create an account.

Step 2

  • Head to the Marketplace page and find the NFT you'd like to purchase. Once you've decided, click on the NFT to open up the details page.

Step 3

  • Depending on whether this NFT is up for sale, or auction you'll see one of two buttons on the right, Buy Now, or Place a Bid. Hit that button and a window will popup.

Step 4

  • If you're bidding on an NFT, enter the amount you'd like to bid then hit Confirm. If you're buying the NFT outright, just hit Buy Now. If this is your first time using the Mogul marketplace your MetaMask window will popup and ask you to make a small transaction to approve the use of the contract. This is a one time step that everyone has to complete.

Step 5

  • Now hit Submit on your bid, and it will open up MetaMask, this time for the actual bid transaction. Make sure you check the gas fee and set it where you feel comfortable (remember, if you set it too low the transaction may fail). Once you've accepted the transaction it will take a little while to complete.

Step 6

  • Now that the transaction is completed, the NFT will have been automatically sent to your wallet and you will be able to see it in your Mogul NFT viewer. You can also view them on external sites like opensea.
