General Withdrawal Policies

Withdrawals typically take 2–5 business days to process, depending on your bank and account type. If funds are not immediately available, it may be due to settlement periods. Any pending trades or liquidations must fully settle before a withdrawal can be completed.

⚠️ Important: Do NOT unlink your bank account at any time during the liquidation or withdrawal process.


Steps to Withdraw Funds

To withdraw funds from your Monorail account:

  1. Log in to the Monorail app.

  2. Navigate to either the Stocks or Portfolios section.

  3. Select the account you want to withdraw from (for example: Stocks or Patriot Portfolio).

  4. Ensure your stocks have been sold or your portfolio has been liquidated.

  5. Tap Withdraw.

  6. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and follow the prompts to confirm.

Processing Time: Withdrawals typically take 2–5 business days depending on your bank.

If the withdrawal amount is not available, it usually means the funds are still invested or settling. You must sell your stocks or request a portfolio liquidation first.


Investing Portfolios (Non-Retirement Accounts)

For portfolio accounts, withdrawals begin after liquidation and settlement.

Typical processing time: 2–5 business days after funds settle.


Retirement Accounts (IRA, Roth IRA, SEP IRA)

At this time, retirement account liquidations and withdrawals must be processed by a live agent.

Customers cannot request liquidations or withdrawals directly in the app for the following accounts:

  • Traditional IRA

  • Roth IRA

  • SEP IRA

To withdraw from a retirement account:

  1. Request a live agent in the Monorail support chat.

  2. The agent will process the liquidation and withdrawal manually.

  3. You will be notified when the funds are available for transfer.

⚠️ Important Considerations

  • Withdrawals before age 59½ may be subject to IRS taxes and penalties unless an exemption applies.

  • A Form 1099-R will be issued for tax reporting purposes.

  • Funds must fully settle before a withdrawal can be processed.


How to Request a Portfolio Liquidation (Non-Retirement Accounts)

Liquidating a portfolio sells your investments so you can withdraw the funds. ( This is not selling stock you purchased on your own, please go to the stock trading platform and sell your individuals stocks, funds will be ready next day for you to withdraw. )

  1. Log in to the Monorail app or web platform.

  2. Select your Portfolio from the dashboard.

  3. Scroll down to where you can normally withdraw you funds, you will see " If you want to withdraw more than whats available , please " Request a liquidation."

  4. Either request a full or partial liquidation.

  5. We will notify you once the liqudiation is complete, YOU must log in the following business day and withdraw your available funds.

  6. DO NOT UNILNK BANK ACCOUNT

  7. If you are planning on no longer using the app and no longer would like to be subscribed to the $3 monthly fee, please go to "Menu" down to "subscriptions" and click "Cancel subscription".
