Step 1: Sell or Liquidate Investments
Sell individual stocks in the app — funds are available the next day.
For non-retirement portfolios, request a liquidation via your account (green link under withdraw). Funds must be withdrawn manually.
For IRAs, roll over to another provider and contact a live agent to withdraw funds. Note: Early withdrawals under 59½ may incur IRS penalties.
Cancel your $3 subscription via Menu → Subscriptions → Cancel Subscription.
Step 2: Request Closure
Once your account balance is $0.00, open the Customer Support chat or email support@monorail.com.
Ask a live agent to close your account.
Step 3: Processing
Account closure can take up to 3 business days, depending on pending verifications or liquidations.
Make sure all funds are withdrawn and your account is cleared to speed up the process.
