Yes, you can close your Monorail account at any time. Just follow the steps below to make sure everything is wrapped up properly.
Before initiating the account closure process, ensure that your Monorail account has no remaining funds or investments. Below are important steps to prepare:
Step 1: Withdraw or Transfer Your Funds
Before requesting account closure:
✅ Withdraw or transfer all funds from your Monorail accounts
✅ If you have an IRA, you’ll need to roll it over to another provider first
Additionally, make sure to sell or liquidate all investments in your portfolio within the Monorail app before proceeding further.
Step 2: Request Account Closure
Once your accounts are cleared:
Log in to the Monorail app
Go to the Customer Support chat
Request to close your account
Step 3: We’ll Handle the Rest
Our team will begin the closure process. Your account will be fully closed within 1–3 business days once everything is processed.
The exact processing time can depend on factors such as pending verifications, settlements, and the completion of liquidating your portfolio. Ensuring all transactions are cleared before requesting closure will help expedite the process.
Once your funds have been successfully withdrawn and your portfolio is fully liquidated, the account will be automatically closed. At this point, you may choose to delete the Monorail app from your device.
