This guide is an example on how to connect a Zaptec charge point using the Monta app. If you wish to use the Monta Portal, please use this guide here.

If you are connecting the charge point through the Monta Portal, select to connect via Cloud method.

If you are trying to connect a Zaptec Go and you are facing issues with the verification process, please contact Monta support for assistance.

Please note that when you connect your charge point to Monta, we become the operator of the charge point. This means that you need to use Monta to control the charging process.

You first begin by selecting where to add your charge point.

In Monta, we use teams, so you can easily differentiate between your personal charge points and the ones you want to share with family, friends or employees. You can read more about teams and how to create a new one here.

2.a. Add the charge point to your personal team

If you want to add a personal charge point, click on "Chargers" and then select "Add charge point".

2.b. Add the charge point to another team

If you want to add the charge point to a specific team, click on "Chargers" and then select the team, where you want to add the charge point.

Once the team opens, click on "+ Add charge point".

We try and suggest the charge point effect and the connector type you may have, however if this isn't correct, do update it here.

This is where you can choose how you want your charge point to work with Monta. You can have it so that it instantly charges, schedules a charge or manually charges or schedules a charge. To read more about how our scheduled SmartCharges work, click here.

Please note that you can always change these settings and you do not have to make the decision at this point. You are able to proceed by clicking on "Add charge point".
