Section A: Hardware setup
ABB Terra requires an app (Terra config) for installers only. We suggest you contact the company which installed it for you. They can help you, it should take 5 minutes when you have the access. You can follow a step-by-step guide in Danish here or continue following the steps in English.
Step 1: Download the iOS or Android app on your phone iOS App / Android App
Note: You must be within 10 feet of your device in order to change the OCPP provider
Step 2: Login Using These Credentials:
E-mail address: email@example.com
Step 3: Pair the Device
Once logged in you will need to pair to the device (if paired already continue to step 10.5.) click on the "Connect Charger" button
Step 4: Insert Pin Code
Then you should see a screen where you can select from multiple charges go ahead and click on the charger you are trying to connect. After which you will need the PIN CODE that can be read on the sticker located on the front panel of your ABB charge point.
Step 5: Check Connection to Network
Once paired it's necessary to check if the device is properly connected to a network click on the Charger Link.
Step 6: Verify Device Connection
Verify that the device is connected to a LAN or WiFi network and then head back to the main menu.
Step 7: Go to OCPP Server
At the main menu you will continue to the OCPP Server section by clicking on the button.
Step 8: Locally Cached Server
Once you arrive at the OCPP section you will see an empty list and above that list you should see the Locally Cache Server + go ahead and click on the + button.
Step 9: Select the Monta OCPP server
From there you will need to select the list item with the value
https://ocpp.monta.app:443 and click on the download button after which you should be taken back to the OCPP menu.
Step 10: Click on the Server
Now the list should no longer be empty and you should have at least one item in the list that corresponds to the following value:
https://ocpp.monta.app:443 click next to continue.
Step 11: Enable External Access
Once you arrive at the configuration menu you might need to toggle the Enable External Access toggle switch.
Note: At this point you should save the Serial number in this section as it's the value that you will need to register your device with Monta.
Step 12: Click on Configure
Note that 'Change charger name' part must be left blank!
Click on Configure or Ok and if everything goes okay you will see the following 3 checkmarks. If any error occurs please go to the main screen and retry from step 5. Otherwise take a screenshot of the error and forward it to support.
But if everything goes correct you should be able to go back to the main menu and continue the registration on the Monta app using the OCPP provider.
13. Proceed to the Monta Portal
Now that you have completed the Hardware Setup of your charger, you can proceed to the Monta Portal.
Section B: Setting up on the Monta Portal
1. Add Charge Point
On Monta Portal click on "Add charge point" under Teams section.
2. Add Charge Point Settings
Select ABB and the charge point model, put max charging power (this information can be find on the charge point box or should have been provided by the manufacturer in this case ABB) and select supported connector type.
3. Add Charge Point Details
4. Connect to Monta
Important! If you choose "Not now" you can connect your charge point to Monta later. Click on Charge Point Name - Set Integration.
5. Select Brand
6. Select Model
7. Select Integration Method
8. OCPP Integration
Important!! At this point of installation you will need to have the charge point serial number. Add Charge Point identifier and click on "Done, what's next?"
9. Check Connection
Here we verify your connection to Monta. Please wait until the loading bar reaches 100%.
11. Perfecto! You are now connected to Monta!
Congrats! 🤗 You have now successfully installed your ABB charge point to Monta.
