Overview
Section B: Setting up in the Monta Portal
Section A: Hardware Setup
1. Establish a connection between your PC and the charge point
The first step is to establish the connection between your PC and the charge point you will be integrating. This can happen in one of two ways:
(1) Connect your PC and the charge point to the same ethernet switch.
OR (2) Connect your PC directly to your charge point.
2. Power on your charge point
3. Give a static IP to your PC in the same network as your charge point
To be able to change settings on your charge point though your PC, they need to share the same IP. The IP of your charge point is 192.168.0.10. In order to match that, you can set your PC's IP in a range between 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.254
For example, 192.168.0.11 can be set as a static IP to your PC.
To access these settings please press Win+R and follow the flow as shown here.
4. Open up internet browser to 192.168.0.10
5. Log into the admin panel
Here are the needed credentials for logging into the admin panel:
Username: admin
Password: admin
6. Change password
After logging in for the first time, you will be redirected to this page, where it is mandatory that you change your password. You are also able to change your password at any time by clicking “Change Password” in the login page.
Important! The new password must contain at least 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 numeric character and minimum 6 characters.
7. Select "OCPP Settings"
In the main menu, select "OCPP Settings"
8. Select OCPP connection mode
Select "Enabled" from the drop down menu, underneath OCPP Connection.
Click on the button "Set to default", besides OCPP Configuration Parameters.
Stay on this page.
9. Insert system address and serial number
On the same page, insert the information as shown in the example:
Central System Address: wss://ocpp.monta.app
Charge point ID: [serial number of your charge point]
Click on "Save"
Section B: Setting up on the Monta Portal
Before setting up in the Monta Portal create the team. Here you can find information about how to create the team on Monta Portal and where to add your charge point.
1. Add Charge Point
On Monta Portal click on "Add charge point" under Teams section.
2. Add Charge Point Settings
Select Sevadis and the charge point model, put max charging power (this information can be find on the charge point box or should have been provided by the manufacturer in this case Sevadis) and select supported connector type.
3. Add Charge Point Details
You can add an existing Charge point group or create one for that specific location. If you already have a Charge point group pointing to the location of the charge point it will be added automatically.
4. Connect to Monta
Important! If you choose "Not now" you can connect your charge point to Monta later. Click on Charge Point Name - Set Integration.
5. Select Brand
6. Select Model
7. Select Integration Method
8. OCPP Integration
Important!! At this point of installation you will need to have the charge point serial number. Add Charge Point identifier and click on "Done, what's next?"
9. Check Connection
10. Verifying
Here we verify your connection to Monta. Please wait until the loading bar reaches 100%.
11. Perfecto! You are now connected to Monta!
