Moonbird is a handheld breathing pacer that helps you relax by syncing your breath with slow, calming movement. It expands and contracts in your hand, just like a balloon, so you know exactly when to inhale and exhale.

The movement is based on proven breathing techniques that activate your parasympathetic nervous system, helping you calm down, sleep better, or feel more in control during stressful moments.

How to use moonbird with the app

  • Download the moonbird app and create your account

  • Connect your moonbird: shake to wake it up (green LED), open the app and tap ‘Connect’

  • Start an exercise: tap ‘Start exercise’ and place your thumb on the sensor

  • Breathe along with the movement, moonbird will guide your rhythm

  • Finish: moonbird stops automatically.

  • Tap ‘Finish’ in the app to save your data

How to use moonbird without the app (standalone mode)

  • Wake your moonbird with a gentle shake

  • Wait for the green LED, then place your thumb on the sensor

  • Your pre-set breathing exercise will start automatically after 5 seconds

  • To stop, just remove your thumb, moonbird will fall asleep after 10 seconds

Moonbird uses a built-in sensor to read your heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV). During connected sessions, it visualizes how your body responds, showing your HR, HRV and coherence level.

If you’re new to breathing exercises, give it time. Your body may need a few sessions to adjust. Most users feel noticeably calmer, more focused, or better able to fall asleep after just a couple of weeks.
