Mobile carriers require business registration for application-to-person text messaging. Registering your local Moovs number helps carriers recognize your business and reduces the risk that messages are filtered or your texting capability is interrupted.
Before you begin
Have the following information ready:
A US EIN or Canadian Business Number (CBN)
Your legal business name and address exactly as they appear on official tax documents
Your business and company type
A primary business contact's name, title, job position, email, and phone number
For a public company, its stock exchange, ticker, and qualifying brand contact email
The current Moovs registration form supports businesses using an EIN or CBN. If you do not have one, contact Support before submitting information that does not match your official records.
Submit your registration
In the Operator portal, go to Settings > SMS Registration.
Select Register Now or Continue Registration.
Complete the Business Details, Tax Document, Additional Business Details, and Point of Contact steps.
Review every value carefully. Your legal name, registration number, and address must match your official records.
Submit the registration.
Track the registration
The SMS Registration page shows three stages:
Brand registration — carriers verify your business identity.
Campaign registration — carriers review how the number will be used for SMS.
Phone number registration — the local number is registered after the earlier stages are approved.
Reviews can take several days. After you submit the brand information, the campaign and phone-number stages continue automatically as the earlier stages are approved.
If registration fails or the page is missing
Select the ? in the Operator portal and start a chat with Support. Include the registration stage and status shown in Moovs, but do not send tax documents or sensitive identification numbers through chat unless Support provides a secure method.
