Top tip: Support first time parents + caregivers with More Happi
Caring for a child for the first time is an overwhelming experience. But you can now support your employees through this in a way that wasn’t possible before.
They can talk to a coach about their experience during pregnancy, giving them time to reflect and think in a safe, confidential space. Or when the child arrives, there will be a rollercoaster of emotions and practical challenges that they’ll experience while on parental leave. They can talk to a coach about this too.
Parent or Work coaches can also help parents + caregivers adjust to returning to work. Helping them to explore their options, their feelings and challenges.
Make it happen:
Time: Takes 5 mins
When the announcement is made, be sure to remind your employee that parenting coaching is available to them, and they don’t need to wait until the baby arrives to discuss how they’re feeling.
When they leave on parental leave, remind them that the service will still be available to them during their time away. They can use it any time. (Include this in any paperwork that you provide)
When they discuss returning to work, ensure they book a session at least once per month to check in on how they are feeling and to discuss any challenges that they face.
