2. New Article Page on Morningstar Investor
We've updated the Article Page on Morningstar Investor with a new layout and features designed to make it easier to navigate articles, find relevant securities and explore more content from our authors.
Here's what's changed and how you can use the new features.
Table of Contents
You'll now find a Table of Contents on the left side of the article, next to the main navigation menu.
The Table of Contents lists the key sections covered in the article. You can click on any section heading to jump directly to that part of the article, rather than scrolling through the entire page to find it.
This is particularly useful for longer articles where you may only be interested in a particular topic or want to revisit a section you've already read.
Please note: Not all articles will have a Table of Contents. It will only appear when an article contains defined sections. Articles without these sections will retain a blank space on the left side of the page.
Mentioned Securities
Want to explore a stock or fund mentioned in an article?
We've made it easier to find and access securities discussed within our articles.
You'll now find a Mentioned Securities section directly below the article title, before the main article content. The securities are also displayed on the right side of the page, below the Related Articles section.
From here, you can quickly access actions for the securities mentioned in the article, including:
Add to Watchlist: Add a security to your watchlist so you can keep track of it.
Compare: Compare the security with other securities to review their details side by side.
Set an Alert: Create an alert for a security to receive updates on relevant research or rating changes, where supported.
This means you can move directly from reading about an investment to exploring it further, without having to search for the security separately.
About the Author
Enjoyed an article and want to read more from the same author?
At the bottom of the Article Page, you'll now find a dedicated Author section featuring the article's primary author.
This section introduces the author and displays their recently published articles, allowing you to explore more of their work directly from the same page.
Simply select an article that interests you to continue reading.
3. Dashboard
You can now find your portfolio and its related performance details within the new Dashboard page just below Home Page.
It gives you a quick view of your portfolio’s performance along with gains/losses that occurred within your holdings.
