Understand Credits and Usage Limits

Overview

Credits control usage for Motics AI features. They help your organisation track how much AI work has been used and avoid unexpected overuse.

Open Usage Credits

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Go to Usage Credits.

You may see different information depending on your role.

What owners, co-owners, and admins see

Organisation owners, co-owners, and admins can see:

  • Total Credits.

  • Used Credits.

  • Available Credits.

  • Monthly Included credits.

  • Rollover Credits.

  • Purchased Credits.

  • All-Time Usage.

  • Next Reset.

They may also see controls to allocate credits to members and buy additional credits.

What members see

Members see a compact view of their own allocated, used, and available credits. They do not manage billing or organisation-wide purchases.

What observers can do

Observers cannot spend credits. If an observer tries to use Chat Agent, Audit Agent, Phone Agent, or another credit-spending feature, access may be locked.

How credits reset

Included credits reset each billing period. Some unused credits may roll over depending on your organisation's credit settings.

Purchased credits do not expire and carry over between billing periods.

Credit-spending actions

Credits may be used for:

  • Recording transcription.

  • Generating or regenerating summaries.

  • Playground summaries.

  • Chat Agent messages.

  • Audit Agent runs.

  • Phone Agent sessions.

Motics checks credits before starting a chargeable action and deducts them after the operation completes successfully.
