To use MoveData you must grant permissions to specific users. MoveData achieves this using Salesforce Permission Sets.

Note

  • You only need to action the below information if the MoveData Authorised User does not have the necessary permissions associated with their user

  • If you can open MoveData from the App Launcher and process a notification successfully you do not need to complete this step

MoveData Application Permissions

The MoveData Application permission set ensures MoveData is visible in the App Launcher and that all dependant permission are granted. If you are unable to open MoveData from the App Launcher, then you likely need to add your user to the MoveData Application permission set.

To grant permissions to a user, navigate to Setup → Users → Permissions Sets and open the MoveData Application permission set. Click Manage Assignments and add the required users.

MoveData Extension Permissions

When a MoveData Extension is installed it will add the relevant MoveData Extension Permission Set. For example, the permission set MoveData NPSP Extensions is added when you install the Fundraising and Donations extension. These permission sets must be added to the authorised user to have the appropriate privileges to run. The authorised user can be identified by navigating to MoveData → Settings → General → Authorise MoveData.

To grant extension permissions to a user, navigate to Setup → Users → Permissions Sets and open the MoveData Application permission set. Click Manage Assignments and add the required users.
