πŸ’‘ Note: Drip Release is available on all paid plans, meaning the Base Plan and above.

What is the Drip Release tool?

Drip Release allows creators to schedule Content in their app for release on a specific date or relative day (relative to an action, such as joining a Program). Using the Drip Release option with the Calendar, Content can be added to the Calendar but locked until a specific date or day. Drip Release can also be applied via the Access settings when editing Content.

This is especially helpful in building Programs, Courses or Series that are designed to unlock Content gradually over time.

How to use Drip Release via the Calendar tool

Drip Release can be applied to Content in a quick and easy way using the Calendar, which allows you to schedule Content to release on specific dates with the click of a button. Here's how to do so.

πŸ’‘ Note: Legacy Content types such as Exercises and Meals are ineligible for Drip Release, though you can add them to a Page and apply Drip Release to the Page.

STEP 1

Add the Content you wish to set to Drip Release to your Calendar by dragging a previously created page or item from the lefthand side or by clicking a day on the Calendar. It should be added to the date you want it to release on.

STEP 2

Simply toggle the "Drip Release" option on the Calendar entry for the Content item. If you do not add a time for the scheduled content, it will unlock on midnight of the day.

How to use Drip Release via Access settings

In addition to using the Calendar tool, Drip Release can also be applied via the Access tab when editing eligible Content types. Below is a guide explaining how to do this.

STEP 1

Open the Content type for editing, this can be within a Multi-Page Content item such as a Program or Course or a Single-Page Content type such as a Workout or Meditation.

STEP 2

Expand the "Access" section in the righthand sidebar and select the Drip Release option.

STEP 3

Choose a date or day when the content should be unlocked.

  • Single Page Content types such as Workouts can be set to release on specific dates.

  • The different pages of Multi-Page Content types such as Programs and Courses can be set to release based on a relative schedule, or on specific dates. Switching between the two can be done by switching between Calendars via the Calendar Builder tab (see second screenshot below).

πŸ’‘ Note: To enable relative day scheduling for Multi-Page Content types, such as Programs and Courses, the Parent Page must have a "Join" action.

Content that is set to Drip Release will display the lock icon with number of days until unlock in a users app and calendar. Content will unlock and become available to the user automatically, once the specified time has elapsed. πŸ™‚
