What is Extended Product Protection?
You can now add Extended Product Protection, powered by XCover, to extend our existing free MPB six-month warranty for malfunctions and defects for up to three years. Extended Product Protection also covers any accidental damage to your gear—including spills, drops and cracks—from the day you receive it.
Simply add two-year or three-year Extended Product Protection at checkout.
Please note, you cannot add Extended Product Protection after completing a purchase.
How is this different from MPB’s free six-month warranty?
Extended Product Protection provides extra peace of mind. When you add Extended Product Protection, you’re protecting your gear beyond MPB’s free six-month warranty.
Extended Product Protection includes:
Coverage for accidental damage such as spills, drops and cracks from the date your item is delivered
Coverage for malfunctions and defects beyond MPB’s free six-month warranty, with options for two-year or three-year Extended Product Protection
Protection is for two or three years in total, which includes MPB’s free six-month warranty
For the first six months, your item is covered by MPB’s free warranty (excluding accidental damage, which is covered only through Extended Product Protection by XCover) and the remainder of the two-year or three-year period is covered through Extended Product Protection by XCover

When can I add Extended Product Protection?
You can add Extended Product Protection during the checkout process. You will not be able to add Extended Product Protection after purchasing a product.
Can I use promotional codes for Extended Product Protection?
Promotional codes do not apply to Extended Product Protection. If you add Extended Product Protection, the item will be covered for its full value (the item’s original price without any promotional code applied).
Where can I access my Extended Product Protection account, documents or open a claim?
The XCover claims process is quick and hassle-free. XCover instantly processes payment or reimbursement for approved claims. There’s zero excess to pay.
When you add Extended Product Protection at checkout, XCover automatically creates an account for you.
To get started, open the link in the XCover confirmation email and sign in to your XCover account. From there, you can make a claim, make changes or view your Extended Product Protection documents.
To protect your privacy, XCover documents are not sent via email. To view documents, you will need to log in to your XCover Account.

When does my cover start and end?
Your cover starts from the date you receive the item.
In the unlikely event your item is damaged in transit before you receive it, your item is covered by MPB and not through Extended Product Protection by XCover.

I added Extended Product Protection, but I’ve changed my mind. How do I cancel?
If you added Extended Product Protection and have changed your mind, you can contact us and request a full refund within the first 45 days of us dispatching your order.
If more than 45 days have passed, any amount returned to you will be based on a pro rata refund. You must cancel through MPB directly.
What happens if I buy an item as a gift? Is Extended Product Protection transferable?
It’s easy to transfer Extended Product Protection to another person. Simply log in to your XCover account and change your account name and details.
What happens if I return my item to MPB for a full refund?
If you return your item(s) to MPB for a full refund, we will automatically refund you the initial cost of Extended Product Protection, as long as this is within the 45-day period.
What’s not covered?
Extended Product Protection may not cover:
Any damage caused during delivery
Deliberate damage to your gear
Damage consistent with wear and tear
Damage caused by using your gear in a way not intended by the manufacturer
Damage caused by not following the product instructions

Is Extended Product Protection available for all products?
XCover Extended Product Protection is available for any product that costs €50 or more (excludes ‘spares and repairs’, and batteries).
If I add Extended Product Protection for an item, is the Extended Product Protection tied to that exact item?
Yes. When you buy an item from MPB and add Extended Product Protection for that item, the Extended Product Protection is specifically for that item alone.
You cannot transfer Extended Product Protection to another item, even if the item is the same make, model and price as the initial item. For example, if you buy two of the same model of camera (item A and item B), but only add Extended Product Protection for one of them (item A), then Extended Product Protection will only ever apply to item A, matching the serial number specified in its Extended Product Protection.
For how long is each item protected?
Extended Product Protection starts from the moment you receive your item. For the first six months, your item is covered by MPB’s free six-month warranty (excluding accidental damage, which is covered by the Extended Product Protection through XCover from the date of delivery) and the remainder of the two-year or three-year period is covered by Extended Product Protection through XCover. How do I reset my XCover password?
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a password reset (via XCover).
Simply enter the email address tied to your XCover account, and you’ll get an email with a password reset link. Open the link, enter a new password and you’ll be able to log in again using your new password.
If your email isn’t recognised, you might not have activated your XCover Account. When you add Extended Product Protection at checkout, XCover automatically creates an account for you. To get started, open the link in the XCover confirmation email and sign in to your XCover account.
