After the selection of the rails to be installed has been made, the actual time for the installation of a grab bar can vary roughly from 10 minutes to 1 hour or more.

Installation through tough substrates such as granite or porcelain can be difficult and time-consuming. Harder materials usually requiring lubricants and various drill bits to complete the work.

Installation of the grab bars through drywall directly into wooden studs, on the other hand, can be quite quick for an experienced grab bar installer.

Some grab bar flange assemblies are designed to be removed and attached with an Allen wrench. These particular grab rails take considerably longer to install, particularly if one has little experience. Set screws can also require future ongoing maintenance if they loosen over time. Mr. Grab Bar very strongly recommends against installing grab bars with set screws. We strictly provide installer-friendly bath rails without the time-consuming feature of adjusting set screws.
