How do I check the status of my SNAP application?

Updated over 9 months ago

States usually respond within 30 days of your application being sent, and within a few weeks of applying, you should be receiving a phone call or a letter in the mail from your SNAP office letting you know if you need to send more documents, complete an interview, and any next steps you might need to take. If 30 days has gone by, and you haven't received a letter or a phone call from SNAP, we recommend following up with your local office or state hotline to find out the status. You can call your state SNAP office at anytime and they should be able to assist you with questions about you application.
