Congratulations on applying for SNAP! We sincerely hope you receive the benefits you deserve!
Wondering about next steps? Here's what happens after your SNAP application is sent to your state's SNAP office:
They will review your application and either send you a letter in the mail with next steps and/or call you for a phone interview.
In the letter and/or phone interview, the SNAP office will let you know if they need any additional documents to process your case and they will provide a deadline in which to submit them.
After about 30 days, you should receive a response from the SNAP office if your case was approved or not.
If you are approved for SNAP, the SNAP office will mail you an EBT card (Electronic Benefits Transfer) with money on it to purchase food.
