Presentations
Interactive Presentations allow you to easily take the data you've gathered from our best-in-class database and turn it into a professional, interactive, on-brand report that can be shared with stakeholders to highlight the impact of your PR efforts.
This feature is exclusive to our Premier subscription; please contact your Customer Success Manager if you would like to upgrade your subscription.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: While presentations automatically update when relevant articles are released, filter adjustments to Coverage Reports (such as date ranges) will not update existing presentations.
Create A Presentation

Go to Reporting > Presentations, select the + Create Presentation button, then select a Coverage Report or Dashboard to turn into a Presentation.
OR
Select the + Create Presentation button from a Coverage Report or Dashboard.
Set up your presentation by choosing its source (Dashboard or Coverage Report), choosing a name, date, and adding branding details before selecting the Finish Setup button.
Edit Default Styles
The following options are available within the Edit Default Styles menu:
Colors can be selected using the dropdown menu or by entering a HEX code.
The background image can also be cropped if desired.
NOTE: Changes made here will apply to all slides within the presentation. |
Global Slide Settings
Global Slide Settings can be accessed by selecting the Branding button in the top right corner of the Presentation and will apply to all slides within your Presentation.
Here, you can edit the Logo, Footer, and visibility of global elements. You can also access the Style settings here as well.
Add Slides
You can add slides to your presentation by selecting + Add in the top left corner and selecting the slide template you'd like to add.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: There is a limit of 30 slides per presentation. If you reach your limit, you can either delete or hide slides to allow for additional slides.
Remove Slides
Remove any slides you don't wish to include in your Presentation by selecting the eyeball icon in bottom right of the slide thumbnail to Hide it.

Slide Templates
Slide Template | Description |
Title
| Add a title and subtitle to introduce your Presentation. |
Section Header
| Add Section Header slides to introduce slides that are related to one another. |
Text
| Add a summary of your coverage, provide context to your graphs and charts, or just tell a story to better showcase your data. |
Image
| Share images of coverage placement, campaigns, or additional charts and graphs.
NOTE: Images need to be smaller than 5 MB in size. Formats accepted include .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .gif files. |
Text & Image
| Combine images and text to visualize key takeaways and callout important points in your Presentation.

Featured Article(s)
| Feature select articles from your coverage on a single slide, including snippets and metrics for each. |
Article Highlights
| Highlight specific articles from your coverage to share with stakeholders in a list. |
Data Visualization
| These slides will automatically be added to your presentation based on whatever widgets you have in the associated Coverage Report or Dashboard.
You can then add additional text to explain the data in the visualization. |
Slide Limitations
You can add up to 30 slides maximum per presentation.
Hidden slides do not count towards the slide count maximum.
When using the Add Multiple Article Slides option you can only add 10 articles at a time.
Share Your Presentation
Once you've created and published a Presentation you can share it with others via a shareable link or by exporting the Presentation as a PDF file or PowerPoint (PPT).
Share A Link
Select the Share button in the top right, then Get Shareable Link.
Select whether you would like to require a password to view the Presentation, then select Copy Link.
NOTE: Sharing your presentation via link allows more interaction with data visualizations; seeing details when hovering over elements in a chart, for example.
Export Your Presentation
To export your Presentation, select the Share button in the top right, then choose Download PowerPoint or Download PDF.
💡TIP: You can also import your completed Presentation into Google Slides for further editing. Choose Download PowerPoint, then upload the file to Google Slides using its Import Slides option within the File menu.
Viewing a Shared Presentation
When viewing published Presentations, users will have the ability to select data points within graphs and charts to view the underlying articles that make up that data point.
NOTE: A Muck Rack login is not required to view a published presentation or its underlying data.
NOTE: Non-authenticated users will not be able to edit or make changes to any connected data sources (i.e. Saved Searches, Coverage Reports).

Will all Presentations have Broadcast and print views available via the click-through functionality? | If the user who created the presentation does have broadcast or print as a part of their permissions, those will show in the click-through experience. |
Will there be any content that will be unavailable to non-authenticated users when viewing a Presentation? | NLA Content will not be available to non-authenticated users. |
Can non-authenticated users change anything about the organization's settings, objects, etc? | No, non-authenticated users will not be able to edit objects or settings that directly impact user accounts. |
Can non-authenticated users update my saved search or coverage reports? | Non-authenticated users will have the ability to sort as a logged-in user would but they will not have access to update or modify a saved search or coverage report. |
Can non-authenticated users do an open search using my account? | No, the Search bar will be removed from the Search data source and non-authenticated users will only view a “login” link in the top right leading to our authentication page and a “Muck Rack” logo in the top left leading to our public homepage. |
Which graphs can a non-authenticated user click into? | Any graphs that can be clicked on while logged in and viewing a dashboard/coverage report can also be clicked by non-authenticated users except widgets with a data source besides a Coverage Report or Search and any widget that aggregates multiple data sources into a single metric. |
Will non-authenticated users have the ability to filter by date in the data sources when clicking into a Presentation? | Non-authenticated users can filter to adjust the date range within the confines of the presentation date range.
ie. if a presentation has a date range of 1/1//23-12/31/23, non-logged-in users will not be able to change this date range. But they should be able to filter within this range for 2/1/23 - 2/28/23.) |
Can I download a Presentation to Google Slides? | Not directly, but you can import your presentation into Google Slides. After you download to PPT, upload the file to Google Slides using its Import Slides option within the File menu. |
Can I edit graph colors and other design elements after exporting the Presentation to PowerPoint? | No, all graphs and charts are converted into images when exporting to PowerPoint. |
Can I click through charts and graphs in PowerPoint exports? | Regular text links will still be clickable. However, click-through is not available in PowerPoint exports. |
Does the export download right away or is it emailed to the user? | The export will be emailed to you. From there you can download the Presentation. |
How many PowerPoints can I export? | You have an unlimited amount of PowerPoint exports. |
