Warning

The below workarounds should be used with caution and warning. Cloud songs without correct tempo mapping will have the below limitations:

  • Song Sections will not function properly. Meaning DO NOT attempt to use:

    • Looping

    • Dynamic Guide Cues

    • Song Section Re-ordering

    • Song Section editing (removing/adding song sections)

This workaround is specifically when a Cloud Song has tempo changes, and the built-in click is not usable, and tempo mapping the song with website Tempo changes is not possible. It's recommend first to attempt to correctly tempo-map the song in Playback using the "Tempo Changes" data section for the cloud song on the MultiTracks.com website.

What's required for this workaround:

In order for this workaround to be viable, the cloud song must have the below requirements:

  • An Uploaded Click Track

  • An uploaded Guide Track

  • Song is to be played in its' original arrangements and no alternate arrangements or section looping.

Step 1: Changing the Guide Track Label

The first step for this workaround is changing the upload guide track designation to "Guide (non-dynamic)" using the "Tracks" tab of the cloud song on MultiTracks.com. For more info see: 📖Cloud Song | Guide Cues

Step 2: Changing the Click Track Sound in Playback

Next, in Playback, you'll want to change the "Click Sound" setting in the "General" tab of the Playback app settings, and change the click sound to "Downloaded."

Note: Changing the 'Click Sound' setting in Playback will change the click sound for all songs in Playback, and will remove the subdivision options for all catalogue and cloud songs.
For a second click sound option that doesn't use this option, and if only wanting to use the uploaded cloud song click for a single song, see the below "Click Sound" workaround.

Step 3: Test the cloud Song thoroughly

It's recommended to test the cloud song, and ensure it's working as expected. It's NOT recommended to build any song sections for cloud songs that take place after any tempo changes, as the song sections would not operate correctly being not correctly tempo-mapped.

Click Sound Cloud Song Workaround

If you want a specific cloud song to use the click track audio that was uploaded to the cloud song, but you don't want to change the click sound settings in Playback for all songs, there is a re-name track workaround. See below for additional information.

Note: See above details for limitations and concerns with cloud songs that are not correctly tempo-mapped in Playback. It's advised to first attempt to correctly tempo-map your cloud song. 📖More Details

Workaround Steps:

  1. On the MultiTracks.com website, navigate to the cloud song tracks, and change the uploaded click track name to one of the (more obscure) available track names that is not used on any other songs in your typical setlists. (Ex: 'Accordion, or 'Rubab')

  2. Next, refresh the cloud song in Playback by deleting it from all downloaded setlists in the app, and re-download from the server.

  3. Next, in Playback, navigate to the 'Tracks' tab in the settings (Settings > 'Tracks') and find the same track name you labelled the click track, and route that track name to the "Click" bus. (Or the same bus you use to route your click tracks or guides).

    1. Alternative quicker step 2: Click "Edit" to enter "setlist/Song Map" edit mode, and tap on the "Accordion" track to open up the quick-bus-routing menu and route the track to the click bus.

  4. Important last step: MUTE the built-in click track for the song, or remove it from the tracks list in the song's edit menu.

Now your cloud song will force the Click Track (accordion, or other named stem) to play through the click bus and act as the main Click track for that Cloud Song.
