Why are Subtitles crucial in clips?

Many viewers often watch videos on mute, especially in public settings, making subtitles essential for understanding the content without sound. Additionally, creatively styled or animated subtitles can captivate viewers, making the video more visually appealing and engaging, which, in turn, boosts viewership and interaction. Subtitles not only improve accessibility but also play a crucial role in significantly enhancing audience engagement.

Basic edits:

  • Moving Subtitles: Click and drag subtitles to reposition them on the screen.

  • Editing Text: Click directly on a word in the subtitles script to edit it.

  • Disabling Subtitles: Use the toggle at the page's top to turn off all subtitles.

Customization options:

  • Styles: Click 'Styles' for options to modify font, color, size, and background.

  • Templates: Use 'Templates' to choose from pre-designed subtitle styles.

Enhancing subtitles: You can emphasize key words spoken in your video using the 'Auto Highlights' section.

  • Adding Highlights: Highlight words for emphasis by hovering over them in the 'Subtitles' tab. You can choose to highlight all occurrences or just a single instance.

  • Customizing highlights: Adjust the style of highlighted words in the 'Auto Highlight' section. You can modify the size, text color, and outline color.

  • Removing Highlights: Click the 'x' next to a word to remove it.

Using the subtitles feature:

  1. Open your project and go to the clip's subtitle editing page.

  2. For repositioning, drag subtitles to your desired location.

  3. To edit text, simply click on the word in the subtitles transcript.

  4. To customize styles, select 'Styles' and adjust as needed.

  5. For preset styles, go to 'Templates'.

  6. To manage highlights, choose 'Auto Highlights' and make your changes.
