Quick steps to access B-roll:

  1. Go to the edit page of the clip where you'd like to add B-roll.

  2. Click on the B-roll icon.

  3. Generate B-roll.

How our Automatic B-Rolls work:

Munch automatically identifies static moments in your clips—where the frame hasn't moved for a while or contains a lot of dialogue—and replaces them with B-roll. It analyzes the words spoken during these moments and selects the most relevant and trending terms to choose the best B-roll assets.

Why you should use B-roll:

B-roll footage is a valuable tool for social media clips, enhancing the visual appeal and engagement of your content. It provides a dynamic element by breaking up continuous shots, which helps maintain viewer interest over longer periods. Additionally, B-roll can be used to provide context or illustrate details that support your main narrative, enriching the storytelling aspect of your video.

Using B-roll:

  1. Generate B-rolls

  2. Images/GIFs will be added to your clip

  3. In the timeline, you can see where a B-roll was added

  4. Click on it (on the timeline) to select it

  5. Drag the b-roll around the frame to reposition

  6. Resize by dragging the edges of the image inward or outward

  7. In the top left corner, you will see all the assets that have been added to your clip. Click on any of them to modify it

  8. Hover over the image in the top left corner to see the video

  9. You can change the video shown as your B-Roll by searching for the keyword and clicking on the asset you would like to use

  10. You can hide a specific B-roll if you don’t want it by clicking 'hide B-roll'

  11. You can turn off the B-roll by clicking the toggle off
