The Interested Party Information (IPI) is a unique identifier used by Collecting Societies (like GEMA) and assigned to authors to identify them as international rightsholders. IPI data is fundamental for the documentation exchange and distributions between collective management organisations. Unique identifiers are extremely helpful in ensuring the correct author/composer is paid out.

GEMA offers its members password-protected access to an excerpt from the international database of interested parties. You can access this via https://online.gema.de/ipi-suche/. After you have logged in, all you need to do is search for your name. Additionally, your IPI number is also displayed in GEMA's Repertoiresuche (Repertoire Search): https://online.gema.de/werke/search.faces
