For teachers: a walkthrough of the new look lesson booking form including an area to customise transport fees per lesson

Updated over 2 months ago

The updated lesson booking form is now live with some great new features.

Here is a summary of the changes:

  • Transport fee toggle: Select to turn transport fees on or off per lesson when setting lesson location at the student's home

  • Clear pricing information: Easily see your expected income for the lesson/s

  • Student's view of pricing: View the range of prices the student can choose from

  • Slimmer design, optimised for mobile view

The changes

Show/hide calendar: When creating a lesson for a student within the calendar, you have the option to either click into the calendar to set the lesson details, or manually enter this information as text:

Transport fees: You can toggle the option to add a transport fee on or off for each lesson booked.

If you wish a transport fee, click the button and customise the fee you require by overwriting the fee box.

Benefit: Transport fees can now be customised within the booking form both per student and also per lesson. If you wish to add two lessons back to back with each other to be held at the student's home, but only need 1 transport fee, this is now easily set from this screen. Toggle on for one lesson and off for the second. See top screenshot for a visual example.

Income summary: You can see how much you will earn for this lesson/s and the transport fees you are charging.

Student price view: By clicking on the 'Read more' link, you can see the view your student is presented with when choosing a lesson block to purchase. This is view only, and cannot be amended on this page, but allows you to understand the student process and how your pricing structure is displayed to them.

If you would like more information on lesson blocks compared to lesson offers we have an article to help you with this.
