Teacher: How trial lessons work

For teachers: What is the new Offer a Trial Lesson button and how to set it up?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Trial lessons have the same logic and platform fees as a Lesson Offer, but the form has only one purpose - helping to speed up the booking process.

Benefits

  • Set your price from £0.00 upwards

  • A trial lesson is cheaper for the student than a one-off lesson

How to create a Trial Lesson offer

Click the "Offer a Trial Lesson" button to open the form. This is on the left-hand panel within an inbox message. Smartphone users, hit "Recent actions" first to see the button.

  • Enter the instrument

  • Select the location

  • Enter the required student price (£0.00 upwards)

  • Choose to add a deadline of 5 days to the lesson by ticking the box, or leave the box clear

  • For pricing over £0.00, select the terms and conditions you require

  • The Lesson title is pre-filled and can be over-written

  • Add further information you wish in the description

  • Press “send offer” and the Offer will appear on your student's dashboard. The lesson will turn orange in your calendar (pending)

  • You will receive an email notification once the lesson has been confirmed and paid for. The lesson will turn green (confirmed) and will appear on your invoice
