Set Up the Square POS Integration

Learn how to set up the Square POS Integration and import Square POS data for use as My Menu Groups.

Before beginning, it is recommended to Make a Copy of a design prior to importing menu data from Square.

Square Integration Set Up

From within the design editor, select Text on the left panel.

Select the Import items button.​

A pop up will appear. From the top, select the POS button.

Select the Square tile where it says Let’s Get Your Menu Data!

A new window will load, with Square sign in information. Continue to log in with the email address and password associated with a Square account.

MustHaveMenus will check for verification, then provide confirmation of the integration.​

Back in MustHaveMenus, click Saved Designs from the left panel.​

Select a design to return to the design editor.

Importing Square POS Data for use as My Menu Groups

After setting up the MustHaveMenus and Square POS integration,

from within the design editor, select Text from the left panel.​

Select the Import items button.

A pop up will appear. From the top, select the POS button.

Location Mapping will need to be completed.

Location Mapping refers to the association of one MustHaveMenus Location to one Square Location for access of POS / menu data.

To map locations, select Assign Location.

​Select the applicable Square Location from the left, and match it to the appropriate MustHaveMenus Location on the right by clicking on it. ​

If applicable, repeat the process of selecting a Square Location on the left and associating it to the MustHaveMenus Location on the right.

Once all Locations have been mapped, select Done.​

Please note: Data can only be imported from the assigned Location.​

The menu data from the selected Square location will now be accessible by the applicable MustHaveMenus Location.​

Select data for use and select Add groups.

The imported menu sections will now be visible under the My Menu Groups section in the left panel.​

To add them to the menu design, first click on the desired Menu Group from the left panel. This action will highlight all the Menu Group text boxes, and click to replace will display over them.

Choose the text box where the items should be placed, and the Menu Groups will import into the selected box.

Repeat these steps until all of the desired Menu Groups have been added to the design.
