Resetting the SkyKit Player to Factory Default

A factory reset can only be performed within physical proximity of the device.

Unplug the power cable from the SkyKit device.

Locate the AV Port to the left of the HDMI port.

Insert a paper clip into the AV Port until the reset button depresses.

Continue to hold the reset button down with the paper clip and reinsert the power cable. Continue holding the reset button down.

When the SkyKit logo appears on screen, let go of the reset button and remove the paper clip from the AV Port.

A Recovery menu will show.

Using the remote, select Wipe data/factory reset.

Make sure to stand very close to the device, and that the remote is directly pointed at the blue light on the device.

On the next screen select Yes with the remote to confirm the factory reset.

The following screen will display as the data is being erased and formatted.

Once the device has finished erasing, the Recovery menu will show again.

It can be confirmed that the device erased all data with the message seen in the bottom left: Data wipe complete.

Select Reboot system now with the remote.

The screen will quickly indicate that a reboot is underway, then load the SkyKit logo screen, then display the Edit Wifi screen.

The initial steps to Set Up the SkyKit Player Device can now be followed.

Stuck on Edit Wifi Screen

After rebooting, the remote selection may default on the lock icon in the bottom right of the Edit Wifi screen.

Press the up arrow button on the remote to select the Edit Wifi button and proceed Setting Up the SkyKit Player Device.
