How to Create Your Master Tracking Link
To track ambassador performance accurately, you must generate one Amazon Attribution “Master” link.
This link enables dynamic tracking and influencer-level commission reporting.
Important: you must use the Bulk Upload method. Manual links will not work.
Why Bulk Upload Is Required
Bulk Upload is the only method that generates the required macro tracking format for dynamic reporting.
If you select “Create Manually,” Amazon will generate a static link. Static links cannot support dynamic influencer tracking or commission reporting.
Phase 1: Create the Campaign and Generate the Master Link
Log in to Amazon Ads Console and navigate to Amazon Attribution
Click Create campaign
Under Creation method, select Upload a file to create in bulk
Do not select Create Manually
Under Publisher, select Google Ads
Click Download template to download the Excel file
Complete the Template
Open the Excel file and complete one row only (Row 2) with the exact details below:
Campaign: Club
Ad Group: Club_Master_Link
Keyword: tracking_base
Match Type: Broad
Final URL: Your Amazon product URL
Campaign ID: 1
Ad Group ID: 1
Keyword ID: 1
Match Type (if prompted again): Broad
Keyword Final URL Suffix: Leave blank
Then:
Save the file
Upload it back into Amazon Attribution
Select the relevant product (ASIN)
Click Create
Phase 2: Send Us the Master Link
Once processing is complete:
Click Download attribution tags next to the uploaded file
Open the downloaded CSV
Copy the URL from the Attribution Tag column
Email this URL to us
How to Confirm It Is Correct
The link should include dynamic parameters and look similar to:
https://www.amazon.com/... ?maas=...&aa_adgroupid={adgroupid}...
If the link does not contain dynamic parameters, it was created incorrectly and must be rebuilt using Bulk Upload.
Phase 3: Viewing Performance and Commission Breakdown
Because this is a dynamic Master link:
The main Amazon dashboard will show total program sales only
It will not display influencer-level breakdowns in the default view
To view individual influencer performance:
Go to Amazon Attribution > Reports
Click Create Report
Configure the report exactly as follows:
Report type: Performance
Date range: Custom (select your desired From and To dates, for example Feb 1 to Feb 28)
Report period: Summary
This ensures totals are combined across the selected date range
Breakdown: Include Publisher Ad Group
Download the report
How to Read the Report
In the Excel file:
Use the Publisher Ad Group ID column to identify each influencer
Example: Sarah_IG, Mike_TikTok
Use the Total Sales column to see the total revenue generated by each influencer for the selected date range
This report should be used for commission calculation.
If you are unsure at any step, send us a screenshot or your attribution file and we will validate it quickly.
