How to Manage Rank Alerts in AccelerList

The Rank Alert tab lets you set sales rank thresholds that trigger alerts for slow-moving items, helping you decide whether to list them or set them aside.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

How to Access the Rank Alert Tab

  1. Log in to AccelerList.

  2. Click Settings on the left sidebar.

  3. Click the Listing tab at the top.

  4. Select the Rank Alert sub-tab.

What Rank Alerts Are Used For

Rank alerts are designed to help sellers avoid listing slow-moving inventory.

If an item falls within the rank range you set, AccelerList may display a High Sales Rank alert during the listing process. When this happens, many sellers choose to:

  • Cancel listing the item

  • Set the item aside

  • Sell it through another channel

  • Liquidate it later

This assumes that the product is being evaluated under the correct Amazon category, since sales rank varies by category.

Fields on the Rank Alert Tab

1. Category

This field shows the Amazon category the rank alert applies to.

Example shown:

  • Book

This means the alert rule applies only to items listed under the Books category.

Sales rank varies by category, so alerts are calculated based on the item's assigned category.

2. Min. Rank

This is the lowest sales rank value included in the alert range.

Example shown:

  • 1

This means the alert starts at rank 1.

3. Max. Rank

This is the highest sales rank value included in the alert range.

Example shown:

  • 54,300

This means any item with a rank between 1 and 54,300 falls within the alert range.

If an item meets this condition, AccelerList may show a High Sales Rank alert in the batch listing screen.

Example of How Rank Alerts Work

Example configuration:

Category: Books
Min Rank: 1
Max Rank: 54,300

If a book being scanned has a sales rank within this range, AccelerList may display a High Sales Rank alert.

When sellers see this alert, they may choose to:

  • Cancel adding the item to the batch

  • Set the item aside

  • Evaluate it later

  • Sell it through another channel

The goal is to avoid listing items that may take too long to sell.

How to Update a Rank Alert

  1. Go to Settings → Listing → Rank Alert.

  2. Find the category you want to modify.

  3. Adjust the Min Rank or Max Rank values.

  4. Click Save changes.

How to Remove a Rank Alert

  1. Go to Settings → Listing → Rank Alert.

  2. Locate the category rule you want to remove.

  3. Click Remove.

Important Note

Rank alerts do not change the actual Amazon sales rank of a product. They simply help identify items that may be too slow-moving to list, allowing sellers to quickly decide whether to list the item or set it aside for liquidation or another selling strategy.
