What is QZ Tray?

A guide explaining what QZ Tray is, how it works, and how it allows AccelerList to communicate with your printer for label printing.

QZ Tray is a small desktop application that allows your browser to communicate directly with your printer.

Since AccelerList is a web-based platform running inside your browser, it cannot directly access printers on your computer by itself. QZ Tray acts as a secure bridge between AccelerList and your local printer.

🖨️ What Does QZ Tray Do?

Once installed and running, QZ Tray:

  • Connects your browser to your printer

  • Sends print jobs directly from AccelerList

  • Helps control label size and formatting

  • Enables fast and accurate label printing

  • Handles secure communication between your browser and printer

⚙️ How QZ Tray Works

When you click Print inside AccelerList:

  1. AccelerList sends the print request

  2. QZ Tray receives the request

  3. QZ Tray sends the print job to your selected printer

👉 This allows labels to print instantly without manually downloading files each time.

✅ How to Know QZ Tray Is Working

QZ Tray is working properly when:

  • You see the QZ Tray icon running on your computer

  • AccelerList shows:

    Connected & Ready
  • Test labels print successfully

⚠️ Common Problems When QZ Tray Is Not Running

If QZ Tray is closed or not installed, you may experience:

  • Printer not detected

  • “No connection” errors

  • Print button not responding

  • Repeated permission popups

💡 Important Reminder

For printing to work correctly:

  • QZ Tray must be installed

  • QZ Tray must remain running in the background

  • Browser permissions must be allowed

✅ Summary

QZ Tray is a printing bridge that connects AccelerList to your local printer. It enables fast, secure, and reliable printing directly from your browser.
