What Are the Different Pricing Rules in AccelerList?

Learn about the different Pricing Rules available in AccelerList and how they can automatically calculate listing prices based on fixed pricing, Buy Box competition, ROI goals, profit margins, and other pricing strategies to help maximize sales and profit

Pricing Rules allow AccelerList to automatically calculate your listing price based on specific criteria such as the Buy Box, lowest FBA offer, ROI, profit margin, or a fixed price. This helps sellers maintain consistent pricing strategies and save time when listing inventory.

Based on the Pricing Rule options shown in AccelerList, here are the available pricing methods:

💲 Price

Sets a fixed dollar amount.

Example:

  • Price = $15

  • Item will be listed at $15

📈 Higher Than Buy Box

Lists your item above the current Amazon Buy Box price by a specified dollar amount or percentage.

Example:

  • Buy Box = $20

  • Higher Than Buy Box = $5

  • Listing Price = $25

Best for:

  • Rare books

  • Unique inventory

  • Sellers prioritizing profit over sales velocity

📉 Lower Than Buy Box

Lists your item below the current Buy Box price by a specified dollar amount or percentage.

Example:

  • Buy Box = $20

  • Lower Than Buy Box = $1

  • Listing Price = $19

Best for:

  • Competing aggressively for sales

  • Increasing Buy Box competitiveness

📊 ROI

Calculates price based on your desired Return on Investment (ROI).

Formula:

(Selling Price - Cost) ÷ Cost × 100

Example:

  • Buy Cost = $2

  • Target ROI = 300%

  • AccelerList calculates the selling price needed to achieve that ROI

Best for:

  • Arbitrage and book sellers who source inventory at varying costs

💰 Profit Margin

Calculates price based on a target profit margin percentage.

Formula:

Profit ÷ Selling Price × 100

Example:

  • Desired Margin = 40%

  • AccelerList calculates the selling price needed to maintain that margin

Best for:

  • Sellers focused on maintaining consistent profitability
