If an Ancestry profile photo did not transfer to your project, it is likely that the photo source is linked to multiple profiles on Ancestry.com which affects the data we receive for your project. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You should be able to pull up the person's profile photo in the MyCanvas editor by searching for their name in the Ancestry tab. Here is how you can quickly add the missing photo:

1. Select the image you want to replace on the page. You'll see a blue box around it.

2. Select the "Ancestry" tab in the left toolbar.

3. Find the photo or record you want to add and click it to insert your new image into the selected placeholder.

If you want to search for a specific person's records and photos, use the "Select Person" button to search Ancestry records and photos for an individual.

You can also add a photo or record page to your book with +Add to Book:

  1. Click the +Add to Book button in Preview

  2. Select Add Record Pages or Add Photo Pages

  3. Search a person to pull up their records or photos (enter at least 3 characters)

  4. Select the record(s) or photo(s) you wish to add to your book

A new page will be added after that person's timeline page that displays the photo or record and the source (if available).
