Make it mandatory for your customer to select an answer before adding the product to the cart

Sometimes, you need your customer to select an answer before adding the product to the cart. For example, you would not want your customer to add a shirt to the cart without selecting its size.

Making text and logo questions mandatory

  1. Open your question.

  2. Within the right side panel, click on the settings icon.

  3. Activate the Required toggle.

Making images and questions without a display type mandatory

For images and questions without a display type, requiring an answer is only possible if you select the Dropdown input type:

  1. Open your question.

  2. Within the right side panel, under Input, select Dropdown.

  3. Within the right side panel, click on the settings icon.

  4. Activate the Interaction required.

Setting a placeholder value for the dropdown

If you have activated interaction required, you can set a placeholder value for your dropdown. The placeholder will be visible before your customers interacts with the dropdown. The default placeholder is 'Choose and option'.

To edit the placeholder:

  1. Within the right side panel, click on the Question icon.

  2. Under Input type, type in your placeholder.
