MyDocSafe data retention tools allow you to set an automatic deletion date for documents you no longer need or should not longer store.

The true power of that feature can be illustrated in Portals.

You can add default data retention policy to default portal folders.

What that means is that you can, in a few clicks, enforce automatic deletion of data that is older than X months from multiple folders that sit in individual client portals.

This is particularly useful if you do not want to keep historical documents that are older than a chosen number of months and you do not want to police the deletion manually.

Note that deleted documents first end up in the Bin and are permanently removed from the Bin 30 days later.
