Periodically most businesses need to procure personal data from their clients: either at the beginning of their relationship or annually, for regulatory reasons. There are several ways to achieve that in MyDocSafe (via webforms or via portals). In this article we will explain how to do it via client portals.

First, go to your portal group list (click on Portals -> Portal Group List)

Then, click on Form Templates icon associated with a Portal Group of your interest, as shown below.

After that you can add your first form:

After clicking 'Add Form' you will be able to import a form from our library or define one from scratch using a large list of widgets. Make sure you turn email notifications on so that you are notified when a client actually submits a new form.

Once the form has been created and you clicked 'return to documents' you will see the form on the list of available forms. You should now click on the settings icon as shown below.

Tick 'multiple rows' option if you want your client to fill the same form multiple times.

If you want the form to appear only in portals with a specific label (if your portals have labels), enter that label in "Show this form only for portals with labels".

Leave "Variable" and "Data Source" options empty.

Click "Save".

You can now go to any portal in your chosen portal group to see what the form will look like to your clients:

You can now let your clients know that a specific form is available for them to fill out.

Currently you need to do it yourself outside of MyDocSafe
