Add welcome message to client portals

Adding a welcome message that shows after your client logs in to their portal for the first time is a nice touch that is likely to be appreciated. In this article we show you how to do this.

First, go to the portal group which you want to configure. Click 'portals' -> 'portal group list' and then click on the 'announcements' icon associated with the group you are interested in.

Next, click on "add announcement" button

Compose your welcome message. Make sure you tick "let users delete the announcement" unless you want the message to be permanently displayed. You have a 1000 character limit.

Check if you like it.

Login to any client portal to see what your clients will see:

You will notice that there is an icon "view public documents" just below the announcement. This is a place where you can publish useful documents such as T&Cs, reports, white papers, that you want your clients to have access to. Make sure you mention that in the "Welcome message". To manage this document library go back to portal group settings and click on "shared documents" icon.
