Creating a portal workflow
Updated over a week ago

Client portals allow you to create and share structured workflows with your clients. An example workflow includes several documents, each of which needs to be signed separately.

To start a workflow, go to the portal of your choice, click on "workflows" tab and click the "+" button.

Alternatively, multi-select documents already uploaded to the portal and click the "gearbox" icon to create a new workflow

You will now enter a workflow editor where you can (a) define the order of steps, (b) add new steps and (c) and configure each workflow step separately.

Once the configuration process is completed, it is easy to send the workflow to a client: simply click "Send to client" button and configure the message.

Your client will receive an invitation by email to start the workflow.

Since workflows are embedded in secure portals, the user will need to sign in first before they will gain access to the workflow.

The client will be able to go through each step as shown on the left hand side, or click 'Close' to go back to their portal. A workflow is not completed until all steps have been done. If a user rejects a signature request, all subsequent workflow steps will be disabled. You will be able to change the underlying document in the workflow definition and resend it to the client again.
