Send a quote / upselling workflow via a client portal

Pre-requisites: make sure you have (1) at least one Portal Group already created,(2) you know how to create workflow templates and workflows and (3) you have already added at least one Service.

Sending a quote via a portal is the same as sending any workflow. Just add 'Services and payment' widget to the worklfow first:

Then add the services you want to send to your client. You can either send them 'for approval only' or also include a payment request via Stripe. Note that your Stripe account needs to be connected with your MyDocSafe account first.

You can add services in two wasy:

  • by selecting a Service Package (if you have defined them)

  • or by adding individual Services from the available list

Note that you can adjust Service details on the fly if that is required.

Once the Quote is ready you can send to your client via "Complete and Send" button.

You can then select the portal user and define the message. Note that you need to have at least one client who has already accepted the inviation to the portal for this to work (sending quotes withour portals is coming shortly).

Alternatively, you can keep the Quote as a draft or, you can publish the worklfow in the portal by clicking "Complete". The "Complete" button places the Workflow on the list of available Workflows. These workflows will become visible in the client portal straight away, although the client will not know about their existance because you have not notified them yet. To do that, click on the '...' icon and invite your client:

the client will receive an email asking them to complete the workflow. Logging to the portal will be rquired

If you also selected a Payment, your client will be asked to provide card details as well.
