How supplying Amazon with "OEM Number" can cause Big Trouble with your fitment.

Updated over 7 years ago

Some customers have learned that there are vehicles on their Amazon listings that they never entered in myFitment. One of the things that can cause this issue is if you supplied an OEM Number as part of the product details you supplied when you created your listing. If you have OEM Number in your listing, please be aware that this is designed only for people that are actually selling OEM auto parts.

Any number you provide is going to pull in fitment from *any* matching OEM number that Amazon has in their catalog.

We have been advised by Amazon that removing this OEM Number from your Amazon listing will also remove the bad fitment. You will need to perform this action through Amazon's listing interface, or by sending Amazon a new listing Excel file with the OEM Number column left blank.
