Learn about the additional functions myFitment has to offer

Updated over a week ago

As mentioned in other articles, myFitment offers something for most use cases. We offer the ability to copy fitment, convert from ACES to eBay flat file formats, and match your brand to established brands via the match file. In this article, we cover how to do all of these.

With each of these templates, there's two basic steps;

  1. Fill out your template that can be downloaded from the downloads and templates page

  2. Upload that template via the upload page

Copy Fitment

If you know of listings that you would like to copy fitment from, all you need is that listing ID. Download the eBay Copy Fitment Upload Template from the downloads and templates page.

Fill in either your SKU or Item ID and then the Item ID from the listing you're copying fitment from for each line. Then delete the instructions and save as a .csv or .xlsx file.

ACES to eBay Flat File

the ACES to eBay Flat File Upload Template allows you to convert any fitment data you already have in the ACES format to the eBay Flat File Format.

You are only required to fill out one of either your SKU, Part Number or Item ID. Your Brand code is optional as well as any other attributes. But the Year, Make, and Model are all required for each line of fitment. As before, delete the instructions before saving as a .csv or .xlsx

Match File

If you have your own brand but are struggling to get fitment matches, we offer a Match File Template. This template will match the catalog fitment from some other brand to yours via each part number.

In this example, we have our brand "MyBrand" that we are matching to both AC Delco and Dorman. First we populate the SKU, Brand, and MPN of each of our own parts, then name the next column 'match_SomeBrand'

Then for list the part number of each corresponding part number under the corresponding column.

As with the other 2 templates, delete the instructions and save as a .csv or .xlsx file

Uploading

Once you've filled out your upload template, head over to the upload page within myFitment.

Click on Choose File to select your template. Then click Upload File. After a few seconds, a drop down box will show up named File Type. Here you will select a file type depending on which template you filled out.

If you filled out the Copy Fitment Template, select the eBay Copy Fitment Upload Template

If you filled out the ACES to eBay Template, select the ACES to eBay Flat File Template

If you filled out the Match File Template, select the eTelligence: Catalog Match File

Once you've selected your file type, Click Create Upload. This will then show up under Previous Uploads.
