For a detailed breakdown of workflow features please check out the Workflow Basic guide.

This workflow helps you to notify a customer or teammates when a sales order has met the conditions.

After you choose the trigger and the conditions of the rule, choose the Send Email action among the action list.

An email action consists of 5 main parts;

  • To

  • Cc

  • Bcc

  • Subject

  • Body

Placeholders

These little elves work as variables for triggered shipment orders. With the use of these placeholders, you're able to add shipment order variables to your email.

You can use placeholders for email receivers such as To, Cc, Bcc, or you can use them within the body of the email.

Usage for receivers:

When you choose the 'Customer Email Address' place holder, we'll send this email directly to the order's customer email address.

Usage in the Body:

I.e. If the shipment order is imported from "Shopify" and if we use "We have received your order via {{Channel}}" in the mail body, this will send as "We have received your order via Shopify"

You can summon these elves with any field you can see this icon.

Here are all the fields you can use on your email;

To

The To field meant for the main recipient(s) of your email. This field is mandatory. You can use either a constant email address or a "Customer Mail" placeholder.

To add multiple email addresses use ";" separator between emails.

Cc

CC stands for Carbon Copy. The CC field is used to refer to the concept of the carbon copy as it sends additional copies of a single email to one or more recipients. You can use either a constant email address or a "Customer Mail" placeholder. If you want to add multiple email addresses or both constant email addresses and placeholders, all of these options are available too! Just add ";" between fields.

Bcc

BCC is for Blind Carbon Copy. It sends copies of the email to multiple recipients, the only difference being that none of the recipients are made aware of who else has received the email. You can use either a constant email address or a "Customer Mail" placeholder. If you want to add multiple email addresses or both constant email addresses and placeholders, all of these options are available too! Just add ";" between fields.

❗ Caution

The To, Cc, Bcc fields have a spelling check on them. If any of the email addresses are wrong, the "Set Action" button will not be enabled. Here are some examples;

  1. Expected an email between separators

2. Incorrect email

Subject

The subject line in an email is the single line of text email recipients see when they receive your email in their inbox. This field is mandatory. The subject field is restricted to 100 characters, just a little reminder, keep it simple. Nobody likes punctuation mark reduplications and long subjects.

You can use placeholders in the subject field for making your email more engaging.
