1. What is the change in GST rate and when will it take effect?
The GST rate will be revised from 8% to 9% from 1 January 2024.
2. How will the change affect my MyRepublic subscription fees and charges?
The revised 9% GST rate will apply on all monthly recurring fees and one-time charges from your January 2024 bills. If your plan is still in-contract (with the exception of Home Access Program plans*), the new subscription fee will apply from your out-of-contract date. Charges for international services including overseas calls (DD) and roaming will not be affected.
Note: For Home Access Program plans, the revised 9% GST rate will apply from 1 January 2024, regardless of in-contract or out-of-contract status
3. How will the change affect my overdue balance?
Goods and services delivered before 1 January 2024 will be subject to 8% GST even if payment is to be received on or after 1 January 2024.
