Can I temporarily suspend my consumer fibre broadband service?
Updated over a week ago

Do you need to temporarily suspend your broadband due to moving, renovations, or travel? Here’s how to pause your MyRepublic fibre broadband service for up to three months.

💡 Please note, this does not apply to 4G/5G services. Also, If your broadband is under contract, we will extend the contract period by the duration of the pause.

How to Request a Temporary Suspension:

  1. Clear Bills: Ensure there are no outstanding payments on your account.

  2. First Request: This must be your first suspension request within the current contract period.

  3. Duration: The service can be paused for a maximum of three months.

  4. Plan Eligibility: Only available for contracted broadband plans; "No Contract" and "Off Contract" plans are ineligible.

  5. Suspension Fee: Check the suspension fee for consumer broadband here.

Before proceeding, make sure you meet all the requirements and understand how the suspension will affect your contract. When you're ready, you can speak to one of our team members to assist.
