<Alert> Secure Your WhatsApp Account

Whatsapp_Security2__2_.png

Description: The image above displays the reminder to secure your WhatsApp account by configuring and activating 2FA on the security settings of the app.

Set up Two-Step Verification

Two-step verification (2FA) adds an extra step when you log in to WhatsApp. First the service will send you a random passcode when you sign in, then you'll need to enter a six-digit passcode.

  1. To turn on two-step verification, open the app and then go to Settings > Account > Two-Step Verification

  2. Select Enable, then enter a six-digit code when prompted.

  3. You will be prompt to enter an email address for WhatsApp to use should you forget your passcode

Note: If you receive an email to reset the two-step verification PIN or registration code but didn't request this, don't click on the link. Someone could be attempting to access your phone number on WhatsApp
