View Wireless Information
1. View detailed wireless network settings
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Advanced > "Status" page > "Wireless" panel
Select "2.4GHz" or "5GHz" to view the wireless details

2. View detailed information about the connected wireless clients
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Advanced > Wireless > "Statistics" page
You can view the detailed information of the wireless clients, including its connection
type and security option as well as the packets transmitted
Tips: You can also see the wireless details by clicking the wireless clients icon on Basic Network Map
Change Basic Wireless Settings
1. Enable/ Disable wireless feature
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Basic > Wireless
The wireless radio is enabled by default. If you want to disable the wireless function of the router, just clear the Enable checkboxes. In this case, all the wireless settings will be invalid
Tips: You can also go to Advanced Wireless >Wireless Settings to disable the corresponding wireless function through the 2.4GHz and 5GHz setting options in the Wireless Settings section.
2. Changing of wireless network name (SSID) & wireless password
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Basic > Wireless
Enter a new SSID in the Network Name (SSID) field and a new password in the Password field. Both fields are case-sensitive.
Note: If you use a wireless device to change the wireless settings, you will be disconnected after the new settings are effective. Please write down the new SSID and password for future use.
3. Hiding of wireless network name (SSID)
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Basic > Wireless
Select the "Hide SSID" checkbox, and your SSID will not be broadcast. Your SSID won’t display on your wireless device when you scan for local wireless networks and you need to manually join the network.
4. Change mode/ wireless channel
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings
Select the wireless network (2.4GHz or 5GHz) you wish to make changes to

Select the wireless mode or channel according to the explanation at the on the table below and click "Save" to make the settings effective.

**Note: When 802.11n only mode is selected, only 802.11n wireless stations can connect to the router. It is strongly recommended that you select 802.11b/g/n mixed, and all of 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n wireless stations can connect to the router. |
Channel | Select the channel you want to use from the drop-down list. This field determines which operating frequency will be used. It is not necessary to change the wireless channel unless you notice interference problems with another nearby access |
Channel Width | Select the channel width from the drop-down list. The default setting is Auto, which can adjust the channel width for your clients automatically. |
Transmit Power | Select Low Middle, or High to specify the data transmit power. The default and recommended setting is High |
5. Changing of Security Option
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings > click "2.4GHz" or "5GHz"

Select an option from the Security drop-down list. The router provides three options: No Security, WPA/WPA2 Personal (Recommended), and WPA/WPA2 Enterprise. WPA2 uses the newest standard and the security level is the highest. We recommend you don’t change the default settings unless necessary
6. Enable band steering function
Band steering can detect what a device supports and automatically assign it to the best wireless band based on actual conditions to balance network demands.
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings page > locate "Band Steering section
Select the "Enable" checkbox, and click "Save" to make the settings effective.
Advanced Wireless Settings
1. To enable or disable WPS function
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) provides you with an easier approach to set up a security-protected Wi-Fi connection. This function is enabled by default, but if you do not need this function:
Clear the WPS Enable checkbox and then click "Save"

2. To create guest-SSID network
The router supports up to 3 additional guest-SSID wireless networks for client access in each wireless band. You can specify the access and security settings to ensure network security and privacy according to your situation.
Visit TP link website & log in with the password you set for the router
Locate the Guest-SSID section, and click "2.4GHz" or "5GHz" to open the corresponding setup page
Select the Enable SSID 1 (2 or 3) checkbox(es) to enable the corresponding guest-SSID network

Enter a new "Network Name (SSID)" or use the default name, this field is case sensitive. Don‘t select "Hide SSID" unless you want your guests to manually input the SSID for Wi-Fi access.
Select the "Security" option for the guest-SSID network, "WPA/WPA2 Personal" is recommended, and you can set a password for the network.
If you want to allow the wireless devices on the guest-SSID network to communicate with each other via methods such as network neighbours, Samba, Ping, and FTP, select the "Allow Guests to Access Each Other" checkbox
If you want to allow the wireless devices on the guest-SSID network to communicate with the devices connected to the router’s LAN ports or main network via methods such as network neighbours, Samba, Ping, and FTP, select the "Allow Guests to Access My Local Network" checkbox.
Repeat the steps above to set other wireless networks if needed, and click "Save" to make the settings effective.
