Broadband Troubleshooting: No Internet Connection

We're sorry to hear that you are having issues connecting online. Let's perform some quick troubleshooting to see if this fixes your issue.

Note: The following is an interactive troubleshooting guide. Before you begin, it's important to check the following:

1. Network Maintenance & Upgrades

In order to serve you better, MyRepublic or NetLink Trust (NLT) may conduct network maintenance from time to time.

If you are having issues connecting to the internet, you can check here to see if we are working on the network in your area.

2. Up to date Payment

Your service may be disrupted if your billing details are not updated or you have missed any payment. You can log in to our mobile app to view your outstanding amount.

Checking your Physical Network Setup

Here's how a typical set up should look like:

For Dual-Fibre Plans

What to check for?

  • Make sure that the yellow fibre patch cord, Ethernet cable, and power supply wire is not bent or broken and it's properly secured to the power point

  • Power is switched on

  • There are lights on your modem and router

Swapping Cables

If your connection is not working after you have followed the above, please test with an alternative cable just to make sure this isn't the issue.

Power Cycle your ONT and Router

How to Power Cycle Your ONT and Router?

If you're still facing networking issues, we recommend power cycling both the modem and router.

Power down the devices for at least 3 minutes before restarting the devices.

1. Locate the main switch for your ONT and Router
2. Switch it off for at least 3 minutes before turning it on again
