Important Announcement for Our Valued MyRepublic Mobile Customers!

Cessation of 3G Services

As we eagerly embrace the lightning-fast speeds and extensive coverage of 4G and 5G technologies, we're excited to share a major update with you. To provide you with a superior experience, all mobile operators in Singapore will cease offering 3G services starting from 31st July 2024. This means customers can do more without being limited by 3G speeds.

If you're currently using a 3G-only device, please take note that after this date, you won't be able to enjoy voice calls, SMS, and data services. We're here to help you smoothly transition to a better and faster era!

Affected Customers:

  • Subscribers using 3G-only or 4G non-VoLTE device

  • Subscribers who have manually set their device network mode to 3G

Impacted Services:

You may be affected if you are using 3G-only or 4G non-VoLTE devices or are manually setting your device network to 3G. In these cases, your data, voice, and SMS services may be affected after 3G shutdown.

Enabling 4G/5G on your device:

You can check and manage your mobile network settings on your device.

For Android users:

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Select Connections

  3. Go to Mobile Networks

  4. Choose Network Mode to 4G or 5G

For iOS users:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap on Mobile Service

  3. Access Mobile Data Options

  4. Set Voice & Data to 4G or 5G

Ensure seamless services by selecting 4G or 5G as your preferred network mode.

However, if there is no option to activate 4G/5G, you may have a 3G-only device. You may also refer to your device manual or contact your device manufacturer to know more about your device model’s compatibility with 4G, VoLTE, and 5G.

We strongly recommend making the switch to a more advanced 4G/5G device equipped with VoLTE support. If your phone is already compatible with 4G VoLTE or 5G, you can simply adjust your phone's network mode to 4G/5G as described above.

By taking these steps, you'll stay connected and experience a seamless and upgraded service with enhanced capabilities on robust 4G and 5G networks.
