Removing the background from your generated images is a straightforward process that you can perform individually or in bulk. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Removing the Background Individually
1. Click on the image from which you want to remove the background so that it opens up the image details.
2. You have two options to remove the background on your selected image: either click the "Remove BG" button directly on the thumbnail, or click the "Ellipsis" (three dots) button and select "Remove BG" from the menu.
3. A pop-up will appear, confirming your request and displaying the cost (6 credits per image). Click the button "Yes, remove it".
If the initial background removal does not meet your expectations, you have the option to retry. Simply click on the image with the removed background, select the options menu, and choose "Retry BG Remove.
Removing the Background in Bulk
1. Choose multiple images from your home page you want to vectorize by hovering over them and selecting the tick box that appears.
2. Click on Bulk Actions button and select "Remove background".
3. A pop-up will appear, confirming your request and displaying the total cost. Click the button "Yes, remove them".
📝 Ensure you remove the background before vectorizing your images. This results in cleaner, simpler files that are easier to edit and maintain high-quality visuals.
Background Removal Versions: Understanding the Differences
MysticPOD background removal tool offers two versions, each designed to suit different types of images. Below, we outline the distinctions to help you choose the right version based on your needs.
Version 1.0: Standard Background Removal
This version is optimized for simpler images and illustrations with clean, well-defined elements. If your image contains solid shapes, clear outlines, or limited fine details, this version will perform efficiently.
Best For:
Product photos with solid or consistent objects (e.g., single items on plain backgrounds)
Logos, icons, or graphics with clear borders and lines
Studio images with well-lit subjects and minimal visual noise
This version works perfectly when precision at a micro-level isn’t required, delivering a fast and clean output for easy-to-segment images.
Version 2.0: Advanced Background Removal
For more intricate images or designs with complex elements, Version 2 offers enhanced performance. This version leverages a more powerful algorithm to handle finer details, making it suitable for challenging backgrounds and multi-layered compositions.
Best For:
Complex images with hair, fur, or semi-transparent objects (e.g., glass or lace)
Multi-subject photos or artistic visuals with overlapping elements
Images with subtle gradients, shadows, or color blending
This version is recommended when image quality is paramount, especially for designs requiring meticulous background removal.
How to Choose the Right Version:
Use Version 1.0 if your image contains clear, solid shapes with little visual complexity.
Use Version 2.0 if you’re working with more intricate images where small details, transparency, or gradients are involved, and you need higher precision.
How to Select the Version in Your Account
Version 1.0:
This is the default version of the app.
It is automatically used when you click on the Background Removal feature from the preview.
Version 2.0:
You will access this version when you choose the option to Retry Background Removal.
In this case, the system will automatically switch to Version 2.0 for improved performance.
Setting Version 2.0 as Default:
If you prefer to use Version 2.0 from the start, you can set it as your default version.
To do this, navigate to your preferences and enable Version 2.0 as the default option instead of Version 1.0.
Once you set Version 2.0 as the default, you will no longer have the option to retry Background Removal, as you will have already utilized the improved version.
By offering two tailored versions, we ensure you can choose the solution that best matches your workflow—whether you need speed for quick edits or high-level precision for complex projects.
