What is Vectorization?
Vectorizing converts raster images (pixel-based) into scalable vector graphics (SVGs). Unlike standard images, vector graphics are resolution-independent, meaning they can be resized without losing quality—making them ideal for:
✔ Logos & Icons – Ensuring sharp, high-quality visuals at any size.
✔ Print & Merchandising – Creating designs for t-shirts, posters, and other print materials.
✔ Illustrations & Graphics – Making clean, scalable artwork for digital or print use.
When to Use Vectorization (and When Not To)
✔ Use Vectorization When:
You need scalable graphics that maintain clarity at any size.
The image has clear shapes, lines, and minimal shading (e.g., logos, icons, simple illustrations).
You want to create editable vector files for design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
❌ Do NOT Use Vectorization When:
Your image is a detailed photograph—vectorizing photos can lead to oversimplified results.
The image has complex shading or textures, as vectors are best suited for flat colors and clean lines.
The image has already been upscaled—vectorization requires the original image for the best results.
Important: You Cannot Vectorize an Upscaled Image
You cannot vectorize an upscaled image because:
Upscaling increases resolution but keeps the image as a raster (pixel-based) format.
Vectorization requires original or background-removed images for accurate conversion.
Attempting to vectorize an upscaled image may result in blurry, inaccurate vector graphics instead of crisp, clean lines.
If you’ve already removed the background, MysticPOD will preserve that edit when vectorizing the image.
How to Vectorize Your Images in MysticPOD
MysticPOD offers a premium Vectorization feature that allows you to convert images generated within the app into scalable vector graphics. This option is exclusively available for users with a monthly or lifetime subscription.
📌 Note: The Vectorization feature only works with images created in MysticPOD and does not support external images.
Vectorizing Individually
1. You have two options to vectorize your selected image:
Either click the "vectorize" button directly on the thumbnail:
Or click the "Ellipsis" (three dots) button and select "vectorize" from the menu.
2. A pop-up will appear, showing the cost (24 credits per image) and asking for confirmation. Click the button "Yes, vectorize it".
Vectorizing in Bulk
1. Choose multiple images from your home page you want to vectorize by hovering over them and selecting the tick box that appears.
2. Click on "Bulk Actions" that will appear below the page button and select "Vectorize".
3. A pop-up will appear, confirming your request and displaying the total cost. Click the button "Yes, Vectorize them".
Upscale vs. Vectorize: Which One Should You Choose?
Both Upscaling and Vectorization improve image quality, but they serve different purposes:
🔹 Vectorize (For Scalability & Sharpness)
Converts the image into scalable vector graphics (SVGs).
Best for logos, icons, and simple graphics with clean lines.
Ensures the image can be resized without loss of quality.
Ideal for merchandise, branding, and print materials.
🔹 Upscale (For Enhancing Details & Resolution)
Improves photo quality by increasing pixel resolution.
Best for photographs, AI-generated art, and detailed raster images.
Keeps the image in raster format (JPG/PNG).
Ideal for higher-resolution prints and digital displays.
If you need a sharper, high-resolution version of an image, Upscale is the way to go.
If you need an image that scales infinitely without quality loss, Vectorize is the better option.
